 EAST LANSING, Mich.  - Michigan State track & field is slated to be divided into two and compete in two separate meets this weekend when the Spartans compete in the Wake Forest Invitational and the Big Red Classic. MSU will have distance runners in action at the Wake Forest Invitational, while the majority of Spartan field athletes will compete at the Big Red Classic.
At the Wake Forest Invitational, all events will be contested at Kenter Stadium, with action getting underway on Thursday, April 16Â at 2:00 p.m. with the women's hammer throw. The Big Red Classic will begin at noon on Friday, April 17 with the start of the field events. All events will be held at the Nebraska Outdoor track & field facility.
 PREVIOUSLY FOR MSU
Despite a off week, Dylan Terryberry and Tess Roman competed at the 44 Farms Invitational, in College Station, Texas in the decathlon and heptathlon. Terryberry finished fourth in the decathlon with a new personal best total of 7,425 points, making this the eighth-highest total in MSU history. Roman continued the success for the Green & White, also earning a new personal-best total of 5,499 points, ranking her second all-time at MSU.
 SCHEDULE OF EVENTS WAKE FOREST INVITATIONAL
Thursday, April 16
For the Spartans, the meet will begin at 6:00 p.m. with the women's 800m dash. Sarah Forsyth, and Madison Osterberg, Mia Rogan and Sydnee Sinn are scheduled to compete for MSU. Â Immediately following the women's 800m, the men's 800m will begin with Noah Sage and Alex Yon as the Spartan duo competing.
Beginning at 8:00 p.m. is the women's steeplechase with Sophia Lucki and Kate Stewart-Barnett scheduled to compete. Andrew Nolan will be the loan male competing in the men's steeplechase beginning at 8:40 p.m. Forty minutes later, the women's 10,000m will be underway with Megahn Beute set to run for MSU. Thursday's events will conclude with both the men's and women's 5000m, beginning at 10:30 p.m. MSU will have 12 athletes scheduled to run, with six running in the men's 5000m and six running in the women's 5000m.
 Friday, April 17
The Spartans will only be competing in the 400m dash and the 1500m run on Friday afternoon. The women's 1500m will begin at 12:40 p.m. with Taylor Ewert, Taylor Pangburn, Rogan, Millen, Osterberg, Kidambi, Forsyth, and Christensen all scheduled to run. The men's 1500m will begin following completion of the women's 1500m. The men will send out Patrick Byrnes, Timothy Cherry, Kyle Eberhard, Owen Gilbert, Gage Killewald, Seth Norder, Moses Osterink, Matthew Schroff, Thomas Westphal, and McArdle to compete in the 1500m.
 SCHEDULE OF EVENTS BIG RED CLASSIC
Friday, April 17
 The 2026 Big Red Classic will be underway at noon on Friday, April 17 with the men's hammer throw beginning at noon. For Michigan State, throwers Dillon Morlock, Xaiver Griffiths, and Dalton DeBeau will be competing in the men's hammer throw. Beginning at 1:30 p.m. is the women's pole vault and the men's long jump. In the women's pole vault, MSU will have Sophia Mettes and Natalie Blake scheduled to vault, while the men will have Carter Bissell and Andrew Harding slated to jump in the men's long jump. Throwers Elle Adrian, Leila Barmore, Rylan Finstrom, Margret Jones, and Jessica Stieb are all scheduled to throw in the women's hammer throw, beginning at 2:00 p.m. Also beginning at 2:00 p.m. is the women's long jump with Barmore and Gabrielle Jeffries set to jump for MSU.
Friday's action in Lincoln will end following the conclusion of the 200m dash. Beginning at 6:20 p.m., the women will send Lexys Wilson and Jeffries out to run, while the men have Cheetam and Drew Novak scheduled to run for MSU.
 Saturday, April 18
Action resumes at noon on Saturday, April 18 when the women's discus throw and men's high jump are scheduled to begin. In the women's discus throw, Finstrom is the lone Spartan set to throw, while Brady Schultz is the only male set to jump. The meet will swiftly transition into the 4x100m relays, with the team of Barmore, Jeffries, Jones and Wilson set to compete at 12:45 p.m. The men will send the team of Bissell, Cheetam, Harding and Novak to compete in the men's 4x100m relay, beginning at 12:55 p.m.
 The women's triple jump will be underway at 1:00 p.m. with Barmore in action. Just 30 minutes later, the men's discus throws and women's 400m dash will begin with DeBeau and Dillon Morlock scheduled to throw in the men's discus throw. The men's 400m dash will begin at 1:45 p.m. with Sage and Yon scheduled to run. Korin Whitcomb is scheduled to jump as the lone Spartan competing in the women's high jump, beginning at 2:00 p.m.
 ON DECK
Michigan State track & field will be divided into two once again next weekend when the team divides for the Penn Relays, being held on Thursday, April 23 and ending on Saturday, April 25, and the GVSU Extra Weekend Meet held on Friday, April 24 and ending on Saturday, April 25.
