INDOOR: Put together an outstanding sophomore campaign in the horizontal jumps and short sprints circuit for the Green and White... Kickstarted the winter schedule by capturing the long jump title at the GVSU Holiday Open, leaping to an early-season victory with a mark of 7.19m... Maintained his winning form at the Simmons-Harvey Invitational, leading a 1-2-3 Spartan sweep to secure another first-place title in the long jump with a 7.18m clearance... Logged a solid multi-event performance at the PNC Lenny Lyles Open, finishing fourth overall in the long jump (7.33m) and clocking a 7.08 in the 60m dash prelims... Registered a strong double at the Heartland Invitational, earning a runner-up second-place finish in the long jump with a 7.31m mark and posting indoor season-bests in both the 60m (7.07) and 200m (22.32)... Scored critical team points for the Spartans at the Big Ten Indoor Championships, uncorking a lifetime personal-best leap of 7.50m to claim a sixth-place finish on the conference stage.
OUTDOOR: Campaigned as a premier long jump threat and a vital short sprint relay asset during a standout sophomore spring stretch... Opened the outdoor cycle at the Spartan Invite, capturing first place in the long jump (7.25m) and helping the 4x100 relay squad to a victorious 40.45 mark... Delivered a massive performance at the Big Red Classic, capturing second overall in the long jump with an outdoor personal-best leap of 7.50m while running a leg on the first-place 4x100 relay unit (40.84)... Swept the pit at the GVSU Extra Weekend Meet to take the long jump title with a 7.40m jump and helped the 4x100 relay team hit a 40.45 mark... Maintained his spectacular winning streak at the Jesse Owens Track & Field Classic, capturing another first-place victory in the long jump with a 7.34m flight while logging a season-best 10.88 in the 100m prelims... Helped the 4x100 relay squad log its swiftest mark of the cycle at the Len Paddock Open, finishing third overall in 40.31... Wrapped up his sophomore campaign at the Big Ten Outdoor Championships, finishing 13th overall in the long jump (7.23m) and competing on the Spartans' 4x100 relay unit.
