Lucki and Stewart-Barnett Earn Track & Field/Cross Country CSC Academic All-District Honors

Kate Stewart-Barnett earned her third All-District honor.
EAST LANSING, Mich. - A duo of Michigan State track & field athletes were named College Sports Communicators Academic All-District on Tuesday. Kate Stewart-Barnett and Sophia Lucki both captured accolades from the CSC.
This is the third CSC Academic All-District honor for Stewart-Barnett after capturing the award in 2023, and 2025. In the finals of the NCAA Championships, she finished fifth in the 3000m steeplechase with a season-best time of 9:36.63. She captured her second-straight first-team All-American honor. In May, she earned her third Big Ten 3000m steeplechase title. She graduated with a master's degree in financial planning and wealth management.
Lucki captured her first CSC Academic All-District honor as a senior. In the NCAA East First Round, she ended her Spartan career with a time of 10:19.63 in the 3000m steeplechase, which was good for ninth in her heat. Overall, she finished 28th. In the Big Ten Championship, Lucki finished sixth in the steeplechase. She graduated with a master's degree in global health.
The pair of Canadians most recently competed in the Canadian Track & Field National Championships in the steeplechase. Stewart-Barnett finished second with a time of 9:40.80, while Lucki was sixth with a time of 10:13.58.
