WATCH/LISTEN:

NOTES TO KNOW:
• Freshman goaltender Joshua Ravensbergen was excellent last weekend at New Hampshire, recording a season-high 38 saves on Saturday while allowing just two goals via the power play in the series. Ravensbergen finished the weekend with a .973 save percentage, stopping 71 of 73 shots faced.
• Through four starts Ravensbergen ranks No. 7 nationally in save percentage (.957) and No. 9 in goals against average (1.26).
• Sophomore Anthony Romani has had a hot start to the season with eight points (5g-3a-8p) through five games. Romani is currently tied for No. 2 nationally in goals per game (1.00) and ranks No. 8 nationally in points per game (1.60). He's scored in four of five contests.
• MSU is ranked No. 4 in both the USCHO and USA Hockey polls, down two spots from No. 2 in both polls last week. The Spartans have been ranked in the Top 5 each week of the season thus far.
• Head Coach Adam Nightingale is one win away from 100 in his career as a Spartan. Entering this weekend Nightingale is 99-45-11 overall with a .674 career winning percentage. Ron Mason was the quickest to reach 100 wins at MSU, doing so in 182 games. Nightingale has coached in 155 since taking over as head coach.
• Both Michigan State and North Dakota are headed by coaches leading their alma maters - Adam Nightingale (Michigan State '05) and Dane Jackson (North Dakota '92). There are 25 DI head coaches leading their alma mater this season.
• Michigan State is competing in the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Game for the fourth time in program history (1999, 2007, 2013, 2026).
• The 2026 U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Game will feature 31 NHL draft picks and the most first-round selections (13) in the history of collegiate hockey with MSU boasting nine and North Dakota rostering four. Michigan State's first round selections include Chase Reid, Ryker Lee, Tommy Bleyl, Cayden Lindstrom, Ethan Belchetz, Jack Hextall, Mason West, Cullen Potter and Ravensbergen.
• Michigan State has the second-most NHL draft selections on its roster in the NCAA this season with 17. MSU's nine first round picks are the most of any NCAA team this season. There are 30 first round NHL selections playing college hockey in 2026-27, with MSU rostering 30% of them.
• 17 NHL Draft picks are tied for the most all-time at MSU with the 1990-91 season being the last time the Spartans boasted 17 selections. The 1990-91 team featured three first-round selections (Jason Muzzatti, Bryan Smolinski and Michael Stewart).
