MSU improves to 19-30 (5-16 B1G) while the Boilermakers fall to 25-24 (11-10 B1G). Five conference victories are the most by a Spartan team in a traditional B1G season since 2018.
Grey (13-13) continued her string of dominant performances in the circle sending nine Purdue batters down on strikes. Nine strikeouts on Friday moved Grey into sole possession of 10th in program history for single season strikeouts (161).
Michigan State recorded just three hits in game one but used seven walks to its advantage. Junior Macy Lee, senior Collette Allen and senior Alexis Ross all singled, while senior Jenae Wash led the team with two walks. Sophomore Hannah Hawley, senior Anna Fox, and Allen brought in runners for Michigan State.
With her stolen base in the third inning, Ross became the first Spartan to steal 20 bases in a season since Lindsey Hansen (23, 2011).

Hawley worked a walk to bring in freshman pinch-runner Payton Conroy, and Fox reached on a one-out fielder's choice to score Allen.
