INDOOR: Made his collegiate track debut for the Green and White as a consistent presence in the distance events... Opened the season at the GVSU Holiday Open, securing a second-place finish in the 3000m with a stellar time of 8:11.01... Shifted focus to the 1 mile run at the Meyo Invitational, crossing the line in 4:13.84 to place 28th overall... Followed it up at the GVSU Big Meet, finishing 20th in the mile run with a time of 4:14.87.Â
OUTDOOR: Campaigned across multiple middle-distance and distance events during the spring loop... Began the outdoor stretch at the Raleigh Relays, tracking a season best 3:45.96 in the 1500m to take 64th... Shined at home during the Auto-Owners Insurance Spartan Invite, capturing second place in the 800m with a lifetime best of 1:50.92, while also running a leg on the first-place 4x400 relay team (3:17.96)... Clocked a 14:03.73 in the 5000m to finish 11th overall at the Wake Forest Invitational… Doubled back at the Jesse Owens Track & Field Classic, finishing fifth in the 1500m (3:47.60) and 12th in the 800m (1:52.22)... Capped his freshman season representing the Spartans at the Big Ten Outdoor Championships, finishing 29th in the 1500m prelims (3:56.15) and taking 25th in the 5000m final (15:09.68).
