Named Miami Hockey’s Dr. Phillip Shriver Rookie of the Year …  NCHC Academic All-Conference team member … Played in 35 games, scoring six goals and recording 16 points … Named NCHC Rookie of the Week a league-high four times (10/25, 11/29, 1/10, 1/31) … Tabbed the NCHC Co-Rookie of the Month in January … Scored his first collegiate goal in a win over LIU (11/27) … Scored twice for Miami vs. Mercyhurst (1/4) in his first game back from World Juniors … Tallied two goals in overtime loss to eventual national champion Denver (1/28) … Had a three-game point streak (1/8-1/15), including an assist in tie at No. 7 Minnesota Duluth (where he was the only player for either team to convert in the ensuing shootout).

 Played for Team USA in the 2022 IIHF World Junior Championship, (which was rescheduled for summer 2022), contributing three points (2-1-3) … Served as an alternate captain for Team USA at the 2021 IIHF World Junior Championship, putting up six points (3-3-6) - including an assist on bronze medal-winning goal ... Represented the U.S. at the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge in 2019 .

Son of Debbie and Brian Savage … Father, Brian, played at Miami (Ohio) from 1990-1993 and played 674 games in the NHL (1993-06) for Montreal, Phoenix, St. Louis, and Philadelphia and also played for the Canadian National Team (1992-94) … Brother, Ryan, played hockey at Miami and the brothers were teammates for two seasons …  Uncle and three great uncles played in the NHL, including great uncle Larry Hillman, who won six Stanley Cups with Detroit (1955), Toronto (1962, 1963, 1964, 1967) and Montreal (1969) and WHL AVCO Cup Championships with the Winnipeg Jets (1976, 1978) ... Majoring in communication leadership.
