CAREER NOTES: Finished career with 45 doubles, ranking tied for fifth on MSU’s career doubles list ... With 35 career stolen bases, ranks No. 9 on the Spartans’ career stolen base list, teaming with junior teammates Bryce Kelley (No. 2 with 64 stolen bases) and Danny Gleaves (No. 10 with 34) for the only three active teammates in the country this season to be on their respective school’s top 10 career stolen base list.
2019 (SENIOR): Academic All-Big Ten honoree ... MSU’s Big Ten Sportsmanship Award winner ... Voted to receive the MSU team award for the John Kobs Most Valuable Player Award, while also earning the Kirk Gibson Offensive Player of the Year Award ... Played in all 54 games, one of three Spartans to do so, and made 52 starts ... Led MSU with 17 doubles, ranking fourth in the B1G ... With a .260 average, was fourth on the team in average, adding five home runs to rank second on the team, including a three-run blast over the scoreboard to boost MSU to the 5-2 win over No. 23 Illinois on May 17 ... Along with leading the team in runs scored with 25 and total bases with 83, also ended with a .423 slugging percentage and a .342 on-base percentage ... Topped team with .418 slugging percentage and third on team with .340 on-base percentage ... Added five stolen bases ... Recorded a .950 fielding percentage ... Had season-long five game hitting streak (May 5-12) ... HIGH SCHOOL: Three-year letterwinner for coach Mike Zunica at Saint Rita High School ... Named the Catholic League Blue Lawless Award winner after hitting .398 with 13 doubles, three triples and 32 RBI as a senior ... Named co-MVP of the Catholic League/Public League All-Star Game in June 2015 after hitting a two-run homer ... Hit .355 with 42 RBIs, 11 doubles and four triples while also swiping 20 bases as a junior ... Helped the Mustangs to a 38-4 record as a junior in 2014 ... All-league honoree in both football and baseball ... Three-time football team captain and was an All-Catholic League selection, finishing his senior season with 69 tackles and five interceptions ...
