MSU Baseball To Play Michigan In Exhibition In Traverse City

Spartans tangle with Wolverines in one of Michigan State’s four fall exhibition contests.
EAST LANSING, Mich. -- Michigan State baseball will be playing four fall exhibition games, including three home contests at Jeff Ishbia Field at McLane Stadium in addition to facing Michigan in an exhibition fall game in Traverse City, Michigan.
MSU will face UM in an exhibition in Traverse City on Saturday, Oct. 3 with first pitch slated for 1 p.m. The game will be played at Turtle Creek Stadium, home of the Traverse City Pit Spitters of the Northwoods League, a collegiate summer league.
"It's exciting to take our team to Northern Michigan, where we have so many proud alumni for this unique experience," MSU baseball head coach Jake Boss Jr. said. "Our previous trip about 10 years ago was a truly memorable one for our players as I'm sure this will be as well."

Michigan State will host Xavier on Sunday, Sept. 27 at 3 p.m. at Jeff Ishbia Field at McLane Stadium.
Following the match-up with Michigan in Traverse City, MSU will host Western Michigan on Friday, Oct. 9 at 6 p.m., before wrapping up fall action against Alma on Sunday, Oct. 18, with game time slated for 1 p.m. Â Boss is an alum of Alma and the Scots' head coach, Jason Crain is his former teammate.
Admission to Michigan State's three home exhibitions at Jeff Ishbia Field at McLane Stadium is free. No live stats or streaming will be available.
