Weather Forces Postponement Of Midweek Game vs. Detroit Mercy

East Lansing, Mich. --Â Due to an inclement weather forecast, Michigan State's softball home opener, originally scheduled for Wednesday (March 18) at 5 pm against Detroit Mercy, has been postponed.

The teams have agreed to reschedule for Wednesday, April 1 at 5 pm at Secchia Stadium.  Tickets for the March 18 game will be honored at the gate when the teams meet on April 1.Â

The Spartans will now stage their home opener at Secchia Stadium on Friday (March 20) at 5 pm in the regularly-scheduled series against Nebraska. MSU and the Huskers will also play at Secchia on Saturday and Sunday.
