MSU Men’s Tennis Heads To Kalamazoo For In-State Battle With Western Michigan Sunday

Spartans look to extend series win streak over the Broncos.
EAST LANSING, Mich. – Michigan State men's tennis is back on the road this Sunday, Feb. 22, heading to Kalamazoo, Mich, to take on in-state opponent Western Michigan at Sorensen Courts at the West Hills Athletic Club at 1 p.m.
The match between the Spartans and the Broncos was originally scheduled for Jan. 14 in East Lansing, but had to be postponed.
Doubles play will be key as the Spartans look to secure the early point and carry energy into singles competition. Securing early momentum will be key as the Spartans carry energy into singles play.
MSU is coming off a 4-1 loss at Vanderbilt last weekend and is looking to bounce back against their in-state foes.
Western Michigan is 7-6 on the season after splitting a doubleheader on Friday, beating Marquette, 6-1, before falling to in-state opponent Ferris State, 5-2.
A good performance from the Spartans in Kalamazoo on Sunday will be a key factor in building momentum for the Diablos Invite next weekend, Feb. 27-28, in Temp, Ariz.
