MSU concludes its season at 16-29 (6-16 B1G) while #3 Oregon improves to 47-6 (19-3) heading into B1G Tournament play.
Senior Madison Taylor (3-7) made the final start of her Spartan career going 2.1 innings with three strikeouts. Taylor allowed five earned runs on four hits and four walks before freshman Carsyn Cassady entered from the bullpen. Cassady tossed the final 3.2 frames allowing two earned runs on three hits while striking out two.
Junior Sydney Doloszycki matched a career-best with a pair of lead-off home runs on Sunday and was joined by seniors Jenae Wash and Collette Allen who each hit solo home runs in their final collegiate games. Sophomore Kendall Smiley tied Doloszycki with a game-high two hits and tallied one RBI.
The Spartans quickly got out to a 2-0 lead over Oregon after Smiley doubled home freshman Ava Coffinger from second base on a sharply hit ball through the middle of the infield. With two outs in the second inning, senior Mik Anthony brought Allen in from third on a single through the 5-6 hole in her final at-bat as a Spartan.
