EAST LANSING, Mich. – Michigan State softball will celebrate each of its six seniors this weekend as the team remains at home to face Iowa for the final home series of the season on April 25-27. Due to expected rain in the area on Friday night, Friday's game has been moved up two hours to a 3:00 p.m. first pitch.
All three games will stream on B1G+ with live stats available via StatBroadcast. Fans can tune into MSUSpartans.com or the Michigan State Athletics App where play-by-play announcer Jeremy Otto will be on the radio call.
The Spartans will honor the careers of Jenae Wash, Faith Guidry, Macy Lee, Collette Allen, Madison Taylor and Mik Anthony this weekend with the senior celebration culminating following Sunday's contest. Wash, Guidry and Lee spent their entire careers as Spartans while Allen, Taylor and Anthony joined the program as transfers.
Fans planning to arrive before 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 27 should account for the closure of roads surrounding Old College Field and Jenison Field House due to the 2025 Izzo Legacy 5K. Nearby parking is also available at the Kellogg Center Ramp.
MSU is 34-80 all-time against the Hawkeyes and 14-23 when facing Iowa in East Lansing. The two programs have faced in each of the last two seasons with Iowa holding a 5-1 mark in those contests. Michigan State took one game off the Hawkeyes last season in Iowa City 8-2 on March 30, 2024.
Michigan State went 1-3 last week dropping a mid-week non-conference battle with Notre Dame, 4-3, before welcoming Washington to East Lansing for the first time. Washington was receiving votes last week in both the NFCA and USA Softball polls. The Spartans stole one game off the Huskies on Saturday taking down UW, 6-4, after a pinch hit three-run home run off the bat of Collette Allen. Freshman Jacey Schuler earned the win in the circle going 3.0 hitless, scoreless innings of relief. Junior Hannah Hawley slugged a pair of home runs last week while Schuler threw a total of 6.0 scoreless innings in the circle to lower her season ERA while opposing batters hit just .053 off her.

Collette Allen knew this one was gone off the bat! She comes in to pinch hit and launches a three-run shot to give us a 6-4 lead!#GoGreen | #SpartanUp pic.twitter.com/Gs1Wpbfgbq
