Cash's three home run, eight RBI performance in game two broke a pair of single game Spartan records.
MSU moves to 10-18 (2-8 B1G) while Michigan improves to 27-9 (6-1 B1G). The Spartans return home to East Lansing next week for a pair of doubleheaders against Detroit Mercy (April 1) and Toledo (April 4).
Game One – Michigan 15, Michigan State 3
Freshman Jacey Schuler (5-10) got the start in game two of the weekend going 1.1 innings before being relieved by sophomore Ava Mullen, who finished out the second and opened the third inning in the circle. Senior Faith Guidry pitched the final 1.2 innings of the contest striking out two.
Junior Hannah Hawley led the Michigan State offense going 2-for-3 at the plate with a late-game two-run homer. Sophomore Hannah Greer drove in the first run of the game for MSU on an opening inning single.
Greer came through with the bases loaded early, singling through the 4-3 hole with one out in the first to bring home Hawley for the game's first run. Michigan got out of the first inning bases loaded jam with a line out, force out double play. Hawley got the Spartans back on the board late with a two-run blast in the fifth inning to score herself and Coffinger.

Michigan tallied 15 runs in game one on 14 hits and four Spartan errors.
Game Two – Michigan 8, Michigan State 6
Freshman Carsyn Cassady made the start for MSU going 3.0 innings with three strikeouts and four earned runs surrendered. Cassady was relieved by senior Madison Taylor (1-3) in the fourth, who went 4.0 innings striking out five with two earned runs allowed.
Junior Kaelin Cash blasted a trio of home runs and accounted for all eight Spartan runs batted in, setting the all-time MSU records for home runs (3) and RBIs (8) in a game. Cash broke the RBI record set by Dayna Feenstra (7) in 2006 against Wright State. She's the first Spartan to ever hit three home runs in a single game.
The Wolverines struck first with a one-run opening inning, but a diving snag by sophomore Payton Conroy and an inning-ending strikeout by Cassady stranded the bases loaded for MSU on defense. Michigan took a 2-0 lead on a two-out single in the second.
With the bases loaded and one out in the third, Cash obliterated a ball over the left center field fence for a grand slam and her second home run of the series. Cash's long ball gave the Spartans a 4-2 lead, hitting the ball off the batter's eye well beyond the fence in left center.

Michigan used a three-run homer and a little league inside the park home run to take a 6-4 lead in the bottom of the fourth.
Cash's second blast of the ball game tied the game at 6-6 in the top of the fifth frame. Junior Britain Beshears singled to put one on base for Cash, who hit a no-doubter into the Spartan bullpen in left field.

Michigan State was down to its final strike with two outs in the top of the seventh when Cash struck once again, slugging her third home run of the game over the fence in left to tie the game at 8-8.
