Doloszycki Homers Sunday in Series Finale

Doloszycki's homer was Michigan State's 36th of the year, tying for the eighth-most in program history for a single season. The Spartans have powered 36 balls over the fence in 35 games during the 2024 campaign.
MSU moves to 13-22 (1-8 B1G) this season while Indiana improves to 26-12 (3-6 B1G) with a series sweep.
Doloszycki's two hits led the Spartans offense on Sunday, with sophomore Britain Beshears and senior Collette Allen each adding doubles. Beshears and Doloszycki drove in one apiece. Junior Macy Lee reached on a walk.
Junior Faith Guidry (2-3) made the start on short notice and faced three batters before being relieved by junior Madison Taylor. Taylor pitched well for the Spartans, recording all 21 outs in the circle. Her eight strikeouts tied a career high as she allowed just one earned run. Three Hoosier runs were unearned to the Spartan pitching staff.

Indiana took an early 4-0 lead in the first inning before Doloszycki's solo shot to left cut the deficit to three.

After consecutive scoreless innings in the circle by Taylor, Indiana increased its advantage to 5-1 on a two-out double to right-center in the fourth. MSU threw out IU's Taylor Minnick stretching for three bases on the play, but the damage had already been done.
MSU got the run back in the sixth after a two-out double by Beshears scored Doloszycki who singled down the left field line earlier in the inning.

The Hoosiers would tack on two insurance runs on a Spartan error in the seventh inning.
