EAST LANSING, Mich. – The No. 12-seed in the 23rd Big Ten Conference Softball Tournament, Michigan State will face Maryland in round one at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 11. Michigan State is 1-2 against Maryland this season, defeating the Terrapins by a score of 2-1 on May 1.
Held May 11-14 at Secchia Stadium, the Big Ten Tournament returns after a two-year hiatus with a 12-team, four-day, single-elimination format, with the top four seeds earning byes into the quarterfinals. This is the first time Michigan State has hosted the event.
