2022 SEASON (REDSHIRT FRESHMAN): Academic All-Big Ten honoree . . . did not see game action . . . made the position change from quarterback to tight end during the 2022 season.
2021 SEASON: Redshirted.
HIGH SCHOOL AND PERSONAL DATA: Ranked one of the top pro-style quarterbacks in the nation by ESPN.com (No. 30) and 247Sports (No. 40) . . . listed among the top 100 overall prospects in the state of Texas by ESPN.com (No. 89) . . . played for Coach Aaron Beck at All Saints Episcopal School in Fort Worth, Texas his junior and senior seasons . . . completed 60 percent of his passes (109-of-182) for 1,450 yards (207.1 ypg) and 14 TDs in just seven games as a senior in 2020 . . . during his 23-game high school career, threw for 2,473 yards on 189-of-306 passing (.618) for 25 touchdowns . . . totaled more than 3,000 all-purpose yards in high school career (2,473 passing, 414 receiving, 293 rushing) in just 23 games . . . rushed for 293 yards and five TDs on 70 carries in high school . . . threw for a season-high 392 yards for three TDs on 22-of-43 throws vs. Nolan Catholic on Dec. 5 in the TAPPS (Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools) Division 1 state semifinal at Globe Life Park in Arlington . . . threw a season-high four touchdowns on 14-of-21 passing for 205 yards in the win over Liberty Christian on Nov. 28 . . . was an efficient 20-for-26 for 255 yards and three TDs in victory against Antonian Prep on Nov. 20 . . . was 64-of-91 passing (.703) for 845 yards and 10 touchdowns in only three games during an injury-shortened junior season . . . opened his junior season completing 25-of-36 passes for three TDs in win over Regents . . . threw a career-high seven touchdowns and was 16-of-20 passing for 337 yards in 62-47 victory against Geneva (9/13/19) . . . was 16-of-32 for 178 yards and one touchdown as a sophomore in 2018 at Aledo High School, but mostly played receiver with 21 catches for 402 yards and four touchdowns on a team that won the state championship (Class 5A, Division 2) . . . also ran the hurdles in track . . . enrolled at Michigan State in January 2021 for the spring semester and participated in spring practice . . . plans to major in business.
