Transfer defensive lineman from Toledo has three seasons of eligibility remaining . . . enrolled at Michigan State in January 2026 for the spring semester . . . played in 11 games at Toledo the past two seasons (two in 2024; eight in 2025).
2025 SEASON (REDSHIRT FRESHMAN AT TOLEDO): Played a total of 83 snaps on defense and four on special teams in nine games . . . recorded seven tackles (three solo, four assists) . . . had two tackles, including a half tackle for loss (2 yards), while playing a season-high 15 snaps against Ball State (11/22) . . . credited with two tackles and recovered a fumble in 13 snaps against Morgan State (9/13).
2024 SEASON (FRESHMAN AT TOLEDO): Appeared in two games (vs. Duquesne and Central Michigan) to preserve his redshirt season.
HIGH SCHOOL AND PERSONAL DATA: Earned all-state honors from the Illinois High School Football Coaches Association (IHSFCA) at Tinley Park High School . . . also named to the all-area team by the Chicago Tribune . . . helped lead Tinley Park to the Class 5A playoffs as a senior in 2023 . . . recorded 76 tackles, including 18 TFLs, during his senior season . . . played for Coach Chris Vitt . . . ranked one of the top players in the state of Illinois in the Class of 2024 by 247Sports (No. 48) . . . son of Carl Hazelwood.
