Career Stats 2013 (JUNIOR): Did not see any game action. AT ELGIN COMMUNITY COLLEGE: Spent the past two seasons playing for Elgin (Ill.) Community College under Coach Bill Angelo . . . was a team captain during the 2012 season and helped lead ECC to a 32-19 record . . . was 3-1 with 31 strikeouts in 53 2/3 innings pitched . . . in 2011, helped guide ECC to a 41-16 record and the sectional championship while going 6-1 on the mound in 44 2/3 innings with 40 strikeouts . . . named to the Midwest Collegiate League all-star team last summer while pitching for the Chicago Zephyrs. HIGH SCHOOL: Was a two-year letterwinner (2009-10) at St. Charles North High School under Coach Todd Genke . . . was a two-time UpState Eight all-conference selection . . . also named to the all-area team his senior year . . . set a school record for most wins (13) as a two-year starter . . . helped St. Charles to a school record 33 wins his senior year along with conference and regional championships . . . attended the same high school that produced former Spartan and 2011 Big Ten Player of the Year Jeff Holm and also fellow incoming signee Ryan Richardson, who also played for Elgin Community College . . . was a member of the 2009 17-under team (Top Tier) that won the Continental Amateur Baseball Association (CABA) World Series.
