Caro Schafer Named to CSC Academic All-District Team

EAST LANSING, Mich. – Michigan State field hockey junior Caro Schafer has been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District squad, honoring her achievement in the classroom this past season.
An Urban & Regional Planning major, Schafer posted a perfect 4.00 cumulative grade-point average. Schafer previously earned National Field Hockey Coaches Association National Academic Squad honors and was named Academic All-Big Ten in 2025.
To be eligible for Academic All-District, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore boasting a 3.50 cumulative grade-point average. Eligible field hockey athletes must compete in 90 percent of their institution's contests or start in 66 percent of games.
Part of the CSC At-Large program, field hockey is among the 13 NCAA sponsored sports where institutions can nominate a maximum of six female athletes.
