Spartan Men’s Tennis Set For B1G Battle With The Badgers Sunday

Michigan State faces Wisconsin following a huge win over Nebraska on Friday.
EAST LANSING, Mich. – Michigan State men's tennis will face No. 29 Wisconsin to continue home Big Ten Conference action on Sunday, March 8 at the MSU Indoor Tennis Center. First serve is slated for 12 p.m.
Michigan State will be taking the court after a big win over No. 40 Nebraska on Friday at home. The Green & White was first on the board after claiming the doubles point, then taking three singles matches to earn the 4-1 victory in the conference opener for both teams.
The 29th-ranked Badgers improved to 10-1 overall and 1-0 in B1G play with a 4-0 win at No. 52 Michigan on Friday night in Ann Arbor.
Earning a win over yet another ranked team on Sunday would give the Spartans plenty of momentum to begin the season, and prove that Michigan State is a top program.
Heading into Sunday's match, the Spartans look for a repeat in taking an early lead with the doubles point. This has proven to be a key factor in recent Spartan victories.
