Adrian, Morlock Set for National Stage at 2026 NCAA Indoor Championships

2026 NCAA Indoor Championships

Location: Randal Tyson Center | Fayetteville, Arkansas
East Lansing, Mich. – Michigan State track & field throwers Elle Adrian and Dillon Morlock will be competing at the 2026 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships, beginning on Friday, March 13 inside the Randal Tyson Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Fans can watch all the events live on ESPN+.
THE SCHEDULE:
The Green & White will be sending throwers Elle Adrian and Dillon Morlock to Fayetteville, Arkansas, to the 2026 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships. Adrian will be competing in the women's weight throw beginning at 8:30 p.m. (ET) on Friday, March 13, while Morlock will be competing in the men's shot put on Saturday, March 14 at 2 p.m. (ET.
 THE CONTESTANTS:
Coming off an All-American season a year ago, Adrian has had a stellar season in the women's weight throw, compiling three first-place finishes, six top-four finishes, five top three-finishes, and four top-two finishes in the event this season. The graduate thrower finished first in the women's weight throw at the GVSU Holiday Open (12/5), the Simmons-Harvey Invitational (1/17), and the Michigan Invitational (2/7. At the 2026 Big Ten Indoor Track & Field Championships, Adrian finished fourth in the women's weight throw with a throw of 22.50m, eclipsing Beth Rohl's 2013 previous school record throw of 22.31m. A Standish, Michigan native, Adrian made her first appearance in the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships in 2025, competing in the women's shot put. She finished 16th in last year's championships with a throw of 21.03m. Adrian will start as the No. 6 seed, with a qualifying throw of 22.50m. The women's weight throw is scheduled to begin at 8:30 p.m. (ET) on Friday, March 13.
 Dillon Morlock will be the only male Spartan participant for MSU. This is his first appearance at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships, competing in the men's shot put. Morlock is coming off a regular season in which he notched five first-place finishes and seven top-five finishes. Morlock delivered first-place finishes in the men's shot put at the GVSU Holiday Open (12/5), the Simmons-Harvey Invitational (1/17), the Notre Dame Meyo Invitational (1/30), the Michigan Invitational (2/7), and the Silverston Invitational (2/20). The sophomore, from Creston, Ohio,  set a new personal best throw in the men's shot put multiple times this season, with his most recent personal best being set at the Silverston Invitational where his best was 19.62m, which ranks him second all-time in MSU history and just .32 meters off Antonio James' 2014 school record.  At the 2026 Big Ten Indoor Track & Field Championships, Morlock finished fourth with a throw of 19.39m, just .23 meters off his own personal best throw of 19.62m. Morlock will begin the men's shot put as the No. 14 seed, with a qualifying throw of 19.62m. The men's shot put will begin on Saturday, March 14 at 2:00 p.m. (ET).
 UP NEXT:
MSU closes out the indoor season following the conclusion of the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships. The outdoor portion of the season will begin six days later, on Friday, March 20 when the MSU Outdoor Track & Field team heads south to Tampa, Florida, for the USF Alumni Classic.
