
Spartan Women’s Tennis Opens Action At ITA All-American Championships

Spartans Brahmbhatt and Morais set to kick off fall tournament action in Cary, N.C. at the ITA All-American Championships.
EAST LANSING, Mich. – Michigan State women's tennis will be sending two Spartans to compete in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-American Championships set in Cary, North Carolina from September 20-28.
Sophomore Amara Brahmbhatt and senior Matilde Morais are set to represent the Green & White in the Pre-Qualifying round of the ITA All-American Champions set for September 20-21.

Brahmbhatt enters her second season with the Spartans after thriving throughout her first season with the team. As a freshman, she logged a 19-9 overall singles record, the most singles wins on the team. The Cleveland, Ohio native notched a six-match win streak during the 2024-25 season, appearing on courts No. 2-5.
In Michigan State's final appearance of the season in the Big Ten Tournament, Brahmbhatt logged the Spartans' only point against No. 6 ranked USC beating USC's Immi Haddad 6-3, 6-1.
Morais enters her third season wearing the Green & White. During her junior season, Morais earned herself a 10-13 overall singles record. Successful on and off the courts, she earned ITA scholar accolades, Big Ten Distinguished honors and Academic All-Big Ten accolades.
Prior to her junior year, she logged an 8-11 record in singles dual action during her sophomore season with the Spartans, with 12 overall singles wins- tied for the most on the team at the time.

Following the ITA All-American Championships, the Spartans will return to East Lansing to host the Michigan State Classic, Presented by Auto-Owners Insurance at the MSU Indoor Tennis Center from October 3-5.
The fall schedule continues with the Wolverine Invitational, ITA Midwest Regional Championships, Spartan Invite, Presented by Auto-Owners Insurance and the NCAA Sectional Championships.
The NCAA Individual Championships round out the 2025 fall tournament schedule from November 6-9 in Ann Arbor, Michigan before the Spartans prepare for their spring dual action schedule, which is to be announced at a later date.
