MSU adds Kinsey Crawford for 2026-27 season.
EAST LANSING, Mich. -- Michigan State women's tennis head coach Kim Bruno announced the addition of Kinsey Crawford to the Spartans' roster for the 2026-27 season.
"We couldn't be more thrilled to add Kinsey to the team, and we're ecstatic to have her in the Green & White," Bruno said. "She's a lightning bolt of energy and a great veteran leader, which will be invaluable for our young Spartan squad this season."
A native of Tampa, Florida, Crawford is transferring to MSU from Clemson and will be a junior in 2026-27. Crawford played in 16 matches during the fall action of her sophomore season, with nine doubles and seven singles matches, but did not see action in the spring. She played in 14 fall matches as a freshman, with seven doubles and seven singles matches, along with one match in the spring.
In the classroom, Crawford earned ACC Academic Honor Roll accolades, as well as ITA Scholar-Athlete recognition in 2024-25, along with helping Clemson earn an ITA All-Academic Team award. Additionally, Crawford helped Clemson post a program-record team GPA in the Spring 2026 semester.
Crawford is the second signing for the Spartans in as many months, joining LuLu Mengqiao, who singed in May, as part of the sixth overall signee for MSU's 2026-27 roster.
Michigan State finished 11-12 overall in 2025-26, and again posted several upsets of nationally-ranked opponents, including knocking off No. 39 Iowa and No. 54 Illinois. The Spartans finished No. 66 in the final ITA Rankings, MSU's highest ranked finish to a season since 2018, Coach Bruno's second season at the helm of the Spartans.
