
Four Spartans Earn Track & Field/Cross Country CSC Academic All-District Honors

Valadian Pallett, Kate Stewart Barnett, Andrew Nolan and Tyler Pritchett were all honored.
EAST LANSING, Mich. - Four Michigan State track & field athletes were named College Sports Communicators Academic All-District on Tuesday. On the women's side, Kate Stewart-Barnett and Valadian Pallett were honored, while Andrew Nolan and Tyler Pritchett earned accolades on the men's side.
This is the second CSC Academic All-District honor for Stewart-Barnett after capturing the award in 2023, as well as USTFCCCA All-Academic honors. In the finals of the NCAA Championships, she finished sixth in the 3000m steeplechase with a school record and personal-best time of 9:33.21. She broke Leah O'Connor's 10-year school record of 9:33.38 set in 2015. Stewart-Barnett became the first MSU woman to earn All-American honors in the 3000m steeplechase since Karrigan Smith in 2019 and the first to earn first-team accolades since O'Connor in 2015.
Pallett picked up her first all-district honor following earning USTFCCCA All-Academic honors last season. She competed in the NCAA First Round in both the discus and the hammer throw. During indoor season, she finished seventh in the weight throw in the Big Ten Championships.
On the men's side, Andrew Nolan was named all-district for the second-straight year. Last season, he became one of six Spartan men to ever be named CSC Academic All-America. In the first round of the NCAA Championship. Nolan broke the school record in the 3000m steeplechase in the NCAA First Round with a time of 8:37.83.
Tyler Pritchett rounded out his stellar season with hist first all-district honors. He also competed in the NCAA First Round in the 3000m steeplechase.
