Dillon Morlock Ends Indoor Season with All-American Honors at NCAA Track & Field Championships

EAST LANSING, Mich. – Michigan State's Dillon Morlock earned All-American honors in the men's shot put on Saturday at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Morlock finished 10th to captured second-team All-American honors. Â On his second attempt he threw 19.09m, which would be his longest attempt. He was just shy of making the final as only the top eight advanced. Tarik Robinson-O'Hagan of Ole Miss took first place with a best throw of 20.65m.
This was Morlock's first appearance in the NCAA Indoor Championships after finishing fourth in the shot put in the Big Ten Indoor Championships.
The Spartans waste no time beginning outdoor season next week. Michigan State will travel to Tampa, Florida for the USF Alumni Classic March 20-21.
