MSU Women’s Tennis Hosting Michigan State Classic This Weekend

EAST LANSING, Mich. – Michigan State women's tennis team is set to host their first of two home fall tournaments, opening this weekend with the Michigan State Classic, presented by Auto-Owner's Insurance, Friday-Sunday, Oct. 3-5.

All matches will take place on the MSU Outdoor Rec Tennis Courts starting at 10 a.m., weather permitting. While the schedule is subject to change, Friday and Saturday will contain both singles and doubles matches from all five teams, with Sunday's action slated with singles action only.

Fans can follow the Tournament Central for updated schedules and results. Admission is free, and fans can visit the Tournament Central page for parking information.

This is the Spartans' second year hosting the Michigan State Classic, and will be welcoming players from DePaul, Michigan, Northwestern and Western Michigan to this year's action.

MSU will have four players competing in this weekend's classic, with freshman Nina Plihal making her Green & White debut. Other Spartan players competing include senior Sarah Fazlagic, senior Issey Purser and redshirt-junior Hanna Tsitavets.
