Men's Tennis Heads to WMU Invite

EAST LANSING, Mich. – The Michigan State men's tennis team continues fall action with a trip to Kalamazoo this weekend for the Western Michigan Vredevelt Invite.

Competition will begin on Saturday, Oct. 10 and conclude on Sunday, Oct. 11 at the Sorensen courts on Western Michigan's campus.

Jack Winkler, Nick Williams, Jarreau Campbell and Reed Crocker will be making the trip for the Spartans.

"This is a great opportunity for our guys to compete and play against a strong field," head coach Gene Orlando said. "This will be Jack and Nick's second fall invite- we are bringing them along strategically after coming off a long layoff with injuries. Jarreau and Reed will be playing their third week in a row to keep the momentum for tactical breakthrough."

In addition to host Western Michigan and the Spartans, Cleveland State, Butler, Chicago State and Notre Dame will also be in attendance at the Invite. This is the third time this season Michigan State has seen action against the Broncos and Notre Dame.
