GREENSBORO, North Carolina -- The Michigan State men's golf team is in sixth place after two rounds of play at the Grandover Collegiate in Greensboro, North Carolina. The Spartans are 20-over-par 596 (298-298) heading into the final round tomorrow at the Grandover Resort.

Senior Donnie Trosper is one of four players tied for second place at 2-under-par 142 (69-73). Trosper had just one bogey to go along with four birdies in the opening round, carding a 3-under-par 69. Trosper shot a 1-over-par 73 in the second round and trails UNCG's Nick Lyerly by six shots for first place.

James Piot is also in the top 20 as he's tied for 18th place at 2-over-par 146 (74-72). After an up-and-down first round, Piot had 14 pars, two birdies and two bogeys in the second round for his even-par 72.

Troy Taylor II shot a pair of 5-over-par 77's and is 10-over-par 154, tied for 54th place.

Devin Deogun is also 10-over-par 154 after a 6-over-par 78 and 4-over-par 76, respectively.
