HARTFORD, Wisconsin --Â The Michigan State men's golf team put together its best round of the Marquette Intercollegiate with a 1-under-par 287 in the final round on Tuesday at Erin Hills Golf Course in Hartford, Wisconsin. The Spartans ended the tournament 30-over-par 894 (303-304-287) to finish in ninth place.
Â
"It was nice to finish with a little better round today, unfortunately we put ourselves in too big of a hole to finish where we wanted to be," MSU head coach Casey Lubahn said. "We need to focus on getting a little tougher and more disciplined, especially in adverse conditions."
