
2013 Big Ten Field Hockey Tournament Brackets Announced

EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Big Ten Conference has announced the brackets for the 2013 Big Ten Field Hockey Tournament, which will be held at Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, from Nov. 7-10. The tournament winner will earn the Big Ten's automatic berth to the NCAA Championships.
Michigan State and Michigan finished the regular season tied for third in the conference with identical 4-2 records. However, MSU earned the No. 3 seed by winning the head-to-head matchup on Oct. 11 in a game that went into double overtime.
The Spartans will take on sixth seeded Indiana at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 7 in the last of three first-round games. The winner of Thursday's matchup will advance to take on the winner of second-seeded Northwestern and seventh-seeded Ohio State.
BTN will provide live coverage of the quarterfinals, semifinals and final of the tournament. All three of Thursday's games will be streamed live on the Big Ten Digital Network (paid subscription). The first semifinal match on Friday will be live on BTN, while the second semifinal will air on delay at 11:30 p.m. ET that evening. The championship game will air live on BTN on Sunday, Nov. 10.
