Three Spartans Named To All West Region Team

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Three Michigan State players have been named to the 2013 Longstreth/ NFHCA Division I All-Region Teams. Junior Forward Abby Barker was a First Team All-West Region pick, while Kristen Henn and Becky Stiles were Second Team All-West Region Selections.

Barker appears on the All-West Region Team for the third time and is a First Team selection for the second consecutive year. She was the Spartans leading scorer, tallying 18 goals and 38 points, ranking third in the Big Ten in each of those categories. Barker recorded a hat trick on two separate occasions this season to go along with her six game-winning goals. A First Team All-Big Ten member, she led MSU to a Big Ten Tournament Championship and was awarded the tournament MVP for her five goals in three games.

Stiles and Henn are both selected to the Second Team for the second time in their careers. The two played a crucial role on the Spartans back line all season, helping MSU to six team shutouts on the season. Senior captain Kristen Henn had four goals and three assists on the season while Stiles tallied three assists.
