EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan State field hockey team will feature a freshman student-athlete every week this fall in attempt to "Meet the Spartans". This week freshman Kristin Matula (Louisville, Ky) sat down with msuspartans.com to answer some questions.

Dream vacation spot: Australia
Favorite spot on campus: Ralph Young Field, but I should probably explore campus more
Why you chose MSU: I love the campus and there are so many opportunities open for me. Also, I love the team and the coaches are awesome!
Favorite movie: Pitch Perfect or Despicable Me
Favorite food: Monster Trail mix
Favorite color: Teal
Favorite song: Stuntin Like Mufasa
Favorite quote: "Train insane or remain the same"
Who would play you in a movie: Blake Lively
Pregame ritual: I wear the same bra and headband and then have a pack of fruit snacks before each game
Does your # have any special meaning to you?: It is cool that the player who wore it before me, Jessica Lindner, is also from Louisville and played at the same high school
Any famous family members?: my grandpa was a famous surgeon
Any hidden talents?: Yet to be discovered
