
Spartans Finish Day Three Action at ITA

EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan State men's tennis team continued action today (Oct. 23) at the ITA Midwest Regional Tournament in both singles and doubles play.
Sophomore Denis Bogatov, the lone remaining Spartan in the main draw, lost to Michalicka of Wisconsin in the third second round of action.
Junior Ronnie Hulewicz lost his match in the consolation round, falling to Kobelt of Ohio State, 7-5, 6-2.
In doubles play, Bogatov and Hulewicz earned a victory in the second round by defeating Robles and Teppert of Wisconsin, 8-3. Seniors John Stratton and Austin Brooks suffered a close loss to Graves and Wolf of Northwestern, 9-8 (6). Hulewicz and Bogatov are set to face Davis and Havens of Notre Dame in the fourth round.
