Two Spartans Earn Big Ten All-Tournament Team Selections

EAST LANSING, Mich. - East Lansing, Mich. - Senior Amy Schneider and sophomore Floor Rijpma took home Big Ten All-Tournament Team honors at this year's tournament. MSU was one of four teams with two players selected to the All-Tournament team, along with Michigan, Penn State, and Iowa.
Schneider had a strong season for the Spartans, recording 20 points on four goals and 12 assists, leading the team in assists. She scored a goal in the Spartans' 4-1 win over the Northwestern Wildcats on Saturday morning. Schneider earned her first two career Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week awards, in consecutive weeks, during the final three games of the season.
Rijpma ranks second on the team in points, with 31, and has recorded 12 goals and 7 assists on the season. She scored two goals in the Big Ten Tournament, scoring one in each game for the Spartans.
The Spartans await a bid to the NCAA Tournament. The selection show is set for Tuesday night at 8 p.m., on CSTV. First round action is set to begin Nov. 10, with campus sites yet to be determined. The tournament will conclude at the University of Maryland with the semifinals and finals on Nov. 17-18.
