EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State field hockey would like to invite girls ages 10-18 to experience the next level of competition in a half-day field hockey camp on Saturday, Oct. 21 at the Ralph Young Field Hockey Complex. The event will run from 12-4:30 p.m. on the MSU campus, and feature head coach Rolf van de Kerkhof and the entire Spartan field hockey coaching staff. A $2 liability fee is the only cost for participation.
The curriculum will allow participants to experience training at the collegiate level, as campers will join in a pre-game warm up with the Spartans, and view the Michigan State game against Big Ten opponent Indiana. A practice session with the coaching staff will be held following the contest. The "Play Day" is designed to give participants an opportunity to learn and enjoy new areas of training, with the latest developments in the game of field hockey. It will also give players a chance to see how fundamentals are being trained and coached in a collegiate setting.
