WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -
Head Coach Michele Madison
On Duke as an opponent:
"Duke is very fast as a whole. Duke's forwards are very fast and often penetrate the circle, for a lot of opportunity balls. They like to play on the outside of the field, they like to counter down the middle. I know these things because I have watched game film, my athletes don't know all of that because they simply have to play their own game. We'll give them some pointers, but we want to keep them in the moment. We have to be on our toes and be ready for anything. When you are in the Final Four, the best team has to win and that is our goal."

On what it will take for MSU to beat Duke and advance in the tournament, after having defeated the Blue Devils, 4-1, in August:
"This is a whole new season for us. We have put everything behind us. Of course, it always gives you confidence to know that you can beat a team, but that doesn't mean anything at this point. It is all about what you do for 70 minutes between the lines on Friday at 4:30. That is all that matters."
Junior back Becky Bolen
On Duke as an opponent: "We played the early in the season. What I remember is that we came out really strong and just played our game, so that is how we ended up with the win and that is what we plan to do tomorrow."
Freshman goalkeeper Mandy Yocom
On Duke as an opponent:"I think that the first game in which we played Duke, we came out hard and focused on playing our game. If we are able to come out strong again, we'll have a good game."
