EAST LANSING, Mich. - Head Coach Michele Madison
On her team's performance
"Some of our attack plays were beautiful, but that extra step wasn't there and that's what we pride ourselves on-that high intensity and the team attitude that we're in it for 70 minutes. That was discouraging that that's not there. We can either make excuses or prepare for the next step."
On the play of Veerle Goudswaard
"She's been coming along. She really stepped up and took control when the team was able to find her open in certain spaces and she's making the most of those situations."
On the play of Annebet Beerman
"She came in today at a higher speed than the rest of the team and picked us up a little bit. I am happy she was able to do that."
Junior Annebet Beerman
On coming in as a sub
"I wanted to come out and pick them up and Coach told me to try and make something happen. I was happy that we won, but teamwork was kind of missing."
On the team's offense
"We always work on end-line cuts and switching up the forwards. The forwards practice together and the backs practice together and eventually we bring it together."
