Bridget Cooper Earns All-America Honors In Field Hockey

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Senior forward Bridget Cooper (Winnetka, Ill.) was named a second-team All-American by the NFHCA (National Field Hockey Coaches Association) Monday morning (Nov. 19). Cooper becomes the seventh Spartan in MSU field hockey history to earn All-America honors, and only the second to be named to the second team.
Cooper, the 2001 Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year and a first-team selection, led the league in the regular season with 15 goals. Cooper ended the season with 16 goals and 33 points. Her 16 goals were good for eighth-best in a MSU season. The senior ended her career with 43 goals and 97 points, which is third and fourth best in MSU history, respectively. Cooper was also a first-team West Regional selection for the second consecutive season.
