Bridget Cooper Earns NFHCA West Regional All-America Honors

East Lansing, Mich. - Junior forward Bridget Cooper (Winnetka, Ill.) has been named to the NFHCA (National Field Hockey Coaches Association) West Regional All-America first team. Cooper earned second-team honors in 1998.
Cooper, who was also a second-team All-Big Ten selection, played in all 20 games and led the team with 31 points and 12 goals. Her 31 points were 10th best in a single season at MSU and her 12 goals were 11th best. Her seven assists were also a career high. In Big Ten play, Cooper finished fourth in the league in scoring with 11 points. On Oct. 29 against conference foe Indiana, Cooper recorded her second career hat trick, scoring three goals and one assist for a career-high seven points.
This is the sixth consecutive year that at least one Spartan has earned first-team West Regional All-America honors.
