Opened the season with strong performances at the Oak Ridge Cardinal in the second varsity eight, finishing second to Virginia in a time of 6:48.672 and defeating Notre Dame and West Virginia in the morning session and posting a heat victory in a time of 6:51.429 over Clemson, Minnesota, and the Mountaineers in the afternoon (3/11) ... On Sunday at Oak Ridge (3/12), was fourth behind Michigan, Virginia, and Tennessee in a time of 6:52.579 ... Posted a commanding victory in the opening Big Ten race of the season in the varsity eight at Rutgers, defeating the Scarlet Knights by more than 10 seconds (7:00.9) ... In the second varsity eight, rowed at Princeton with Brown in the day after the B1G opener (3/25). Finished third behind No. 10 Princeton and No. 5 Brown in a time of 7:10.7 ...
