2024 (Graduate Student): Second Team All-Big Ten … Academic All-Big Ten … CRCA Scholar-Athlete … In the 2V8, finished second to Miami in the semifinal heats of the Sunshine State Invitational (3/29-30), and then finished fourth in the Grand Final (6:46.57) ... In the varsity eight, finished second to host Michigan (6:45.96) (4/6) ... In the varsity eight, finished fourth to Alabama, Wisconsin and Clemson (6:47.34), third behind Indiana and Notre Dame and ahead of SMU (6:47.79), and fourth ahead of Oklahoma (6:37.81) at the Big Ten Invitational (4/19-20) ... At Indiana for the Dale England Cup (4/27), finished second to host Indiana in the varsity eight (6:55.3) ... In the varsity eight at Sprints (5/5), finished fourth in the morning prelims behind Northeastern, Columbia and Rhode Island (7:08.34) and finished fourth in the petite final (7:16.82) behind George Washington, URI, and Boston College ... In the varsity eight, finished sixth at the Big Ten Championships (5/19), clocked in a time of 6:33.221 .
2023 (Graduate Student): Earned a pair of second-place finishes in the two seat of the varsity four at the Sunshine State Invitational (3/31-4/1), second behind Wisconsin in both the semifinals (7:19.77) and grand final (7:18.65) … At the Big Ten Invitational (4/7-8), rowed in the two seat of the varsity four, finishing third, fourth and fourth over three races … Earned a pair of open-water victories in the two seat of the varsity four at the Spartan Invitational (4/15), defeating Miami (7:28.28) and Temple (7:42.02) … Finished third to Ohio State and Indiana in a time of 7:45.9 in the two seat of the varsity four at the Ohio State Invitational (4/22) … In the four seat of the second varsity eight, took second (6:38.59) in the Petite Final (eighth overall) at Women’s Sprints (4/30) … Finished in eighth place in the four seat of the varsity eight at the Big Ten Championships (5/14), clocked in a time of 6:40.953.
PRIOR TO MSU: Attended the University of South Dakota, representing the women's triathlon program... Also competed for the Coyote Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field Programs... Was an All-Central Region Freshman Team member according to the College Triathlon Coaches Association (CTCA) in 2019-20... Garnered multiple CTCA Scholar All-America accolades while in Vermillion.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Carolyn and Bill Kubas ... Has a brother, Will ... Father, Bill, was a quarterback at Laurier University in Ontario, winning the Vanier Cup in 1991... Attended Milton District High School, and earned varsity letters in track and field, cross country and volleyball... Was a four-year Honor Roll member and received the Michael Mutcheson Memorial Scholarship, awarded to a student-athlete that portrays a strong work ethic and leadership skills... Currently is pursuing her Master's degree in Financial Planning and Wealth Management at Michigan State... Aspires to be a financial planner, or maintain another position in the business field... In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, participating in triathlons and hiking.
