CAREER NOTES: An Academic All-Big Ten honoree.
2024 (REDSHIRT-JUNIOR): Earned Academic All-Big Ten accolades ... Made eight appearances with one start, posting 21 strikeouts to just five walks with a 1.2 record and a 3.91 ERA in 23.0 IP, before suffering a season-ending injury ... Had smashing season-debut, firing season-high six strikeouts in 4.0 IP without a hit, walk or run against Lehigh (Feb. 17), striking out the side in sixth, the first inning of work, then worked a three-up, three-down inning in the seventh, before striking out the side again in the eighth, and another 1-2-3 frame in the ninth ... Added five punchouts again without hit, walk or run at Maryland (March 22), with only two base-runners coming on HBP, logging groundout then back-to-back Ks to end first inning of work after coming on in the sixth inning with two on and no outs, then working a 1-2-3 inning, induces a double play after yielding a base-runner on an error to end seventh inning, adding two more Ks in eighth, and another three-up, three-down stanza with a strikeout to end ninth and send game to extras, before being relieved to open 10th ... Also had 3.0 IP of hitless work with two Ks at Michigan (March 26) ... Was second on staff in games in relief (17), while ranking fourth in both appearances (19) and batters struck out looking (12) ... Made Spartan debut and first start of MSU career on Feb. 19 vs. Arizona in MLB Desert Invite in Phoenix, going season-long 5.0 IP with season-high five Ks, scattering five hits ... Logged three or more strikeouts in four outings, in addition to the season-high five Ks, added four punchouts at Notre Dame (April 11) ... AT SIU EDWARDSVILLE (2021-22): Played two years for the Cougars ending with a career 4.92 ERA … In 2022, pitched and started in three games before an injury sidelined him for the rest of the season ... Registered season-high eight strikeouts in longest appearance of season with six innings vs. Western Michigan (March 4) ... Appeared in 12 games, throwing 51 innings as a junior, as senior season of 2020 was cancelled due to COVID-19 pandemic ... Allowed 17 runs (10 earned) on 28 hits ... Finished with a 1.37 ERA ... Rang up 84 strikeouts against only 18 walks ... Recorded a 7-3 record with one save, and opponents batted just .145 against him ... Appeared in 37 games as a hitter, registered a .327 average and led the team in home runs (three), and RBI (37).
