Scouting Yahn: Made the team as a walk-on during fall practice...solid receiving skills and arm strength...will provide valuable depth at catcher.
UT Dallas (2006): Played in one game and collected a hit in two at-bats for the UT Dallas Comets, a Division III school that produced a 33-14 record in 2006 and came up just one win short of winning the American Southwest Conference championship.
High School: Lettered in baseball, football and basketball at East High School in Wauwatosa, Wis....earned all-conference, all-area, all-district and honorable mention all-state honors on two occasions in baseball...named captain his senior year.
Personal: Born May 18, 1987, to Rick and Judeen Yahn...an accounting/pre-law major...career ambition is to get a law degree and work for the government...favorite athlete is Barry Larkin...names his high school baseball coach, Jerry Toubl, as his biggest baseball influence.
