PRIOR TO MSU: Played two seasons at Illinois State (2024-25), tallying 67 strikeouts in 83.1 IP in two seasons as a Redbird, posting an 8-2 record in 23 appearances with 14 starts ... Was teammates with former Spartan player and current Savannah Bananas player JT Sokolove at Illinois State for one season, before Sokolove came to MSU for the 2025 season, but was referred to MSU by Sokolove ... A three-time All-Conference selection, earning first-team honors as a senior and sophomore, along with second-team recognition as a freshman for the Wildcats ... Junior season was cancelled due to COVID-19.
PERSONAL: Son of Trisha and Chris Monke ... Older brother, Caden, was a three-year standout relief pitcher at Arkansas and was drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the 14th round (No. 409 overall) in the 2021 MLB Draft, and is currently with the Northwest Arkansas Naturals, the Royals’ Double-A Affiliate.
