2026-27 Big Ten Hockey Weekends and Opponents Announced

EAST LANSING, Mich. – The Big Ten Conference released the 2026-27 men's ice hockey conference slate on Thursday afternoon, revealing opponents, weekends and locations for the upcoming season. Exact dates, times and television information will be announced at a later date.
Date ranges reflect the weekend in which the series will take place due to Big Ten basketball schedules still being finalized.
Michigan State starts the road to a fourth-consecutive Big Ten regular season championship at Notre Dame (Nov. 12-15) before its first home-and-home series with Michigan (Nov. 19-22). Game one of the Michigan series will be on the road, with the second game of the series returning to Munn Ice Arena.
Following a Thanksgiving weekend bye, MSU heads to Ohio State (Dec. 3-6) before Minnesota (Dec. 10-13) arrives in East Lansing for the final conference series of the 2026 calendar year. The Spartans open 2027 on the road at Wisconsin (Jan. 7-10) prior to welcoming Penn State (Jan. 14-17) to The Great Lakes State.
Michigan State travels to Minnesota (Jan. 28-31) following its final Big Ten bye before kicking off a home-heavy final five weeks of the regular season. The second home-and-home series with Michigan (Feb. 4-7) features game one at Munn, with the location of the second game hosted by the Wolverines to be announced.
Wisconsin comes to Munn (Feb. 11-14) ahead of MSU's final Big Ten road series of the season at Penn State (Feb. 18-21). Michigan State closes the regular season with back-to-back home series against Notre Dame (Feb. 25-28) and Ohio State (March 4-5).
