MSU Track & Field Ends Regular Season at the Len Paddock Open

EAST LANSING, Mich. – Michigan State track & field concluded the outdoor regular season at the Len Paddock Open in Ann Arbor, Michigan on Friday.
In their final preparations for the Big Ten Championships, selected Spartans completed in Ann Arbor, highlighted by the field squad. In the women's shot put, Jessica Stieb finished second with a throw of 15.72m. She was the top collegiate finisher. Teammate Rylan Finstrom was third with a throw of 13.31m. Finstrom was also second in the women's discus with a personal best (48.70m).
In the women's hammer throw, All-American Elle Adrian finished third (59.93m), while Stieb was fourth (55.76m).
In the men's discus, Dillon Morlock was fourth with a throw of 51.83m.
On the track, the men's 4x100m relay team set a season best with a time of 40.31. Drew Novak, Andrew Harding, Carter Bissell and Cameron Cheetam led the team to a third-place finish.
In the men's 800m, Kyle Eberhard also had a season best, crossing the line 1:53 to finish third.
Taylor Ewert captured the Spartans only event title of the day in the women's 1500m. She set a new season best with a time of 4:33.93. In the women's 800m, Madison Osterberg was fifth (2:13.42), while Mia Rogan set a new personal best (2:13.64) to take sixth.
Michigan State will now head to Lincoln, Nebraska for the Big Ten Outdoor Track & Field Championships May 15-17.
