EAST LANSING, Mich. – Michigan State's men's golf team posted the fifth-best team score of the day and are in 14th place among 18 days after the second day of at the Big Ten Championships on Friday at Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club (Witch Hollow) in North Plains, Ore.
MSU struggled in the first round with an 18-over par 298, but bounced back in the second round with a 1-over par 281, the fifth-best team round of the day.
The Spartans are in 14th place at 19-over par 578 (298-281).
UCLA leads the field at 10-over par 550, with Washington in second place at 1-over par 561, followed by Illinois in third place (5-over par 565) and Nebraska, Purdue and Southern California are tied for fourth place (10-over par 570).
Junior McCoy Biagioli shot a 1-under par 69 in Saturday's second round and is tied for 19th place at 2-over par 142 (73-69).
Senior Caleb Bond posted an even-par 70 in the second round and is tied for 35th place at 4-over par 174 (74-70).
Freshman Luke Mueller is tied for 43rd place at 5-over par 145 (73-72) and senior Ashton McCulloch is tied for 65th place at 8-over par 148 (78-70).
Junior Lucas Acevedo played the second round and shot a 2-over par 72.
The Spartans tee off at 1:20 p.m. (ET) from the 10th hole, playing alongside Iowa and Maryland.
