Men’s Golf Finishes Play at the Windon Memorial

East Lansing, Mich. – Michigan State's men's golf team finished in 11th place among 16 teams at the Windon Memorial, played at the par-70, 6.716-yard Onwentsia Club in Lake Forest, Ill. and will be hosted by Northwestern University.
The Spartans had entered Tuesday's final round in second place but struggled in the final round with an 11-over par 291.
MSU finished in 11th place overall at 11-over par 851 (281-279-291).
Kansas topped the field at 4-under 836 (276-280-280), one shot ahead of second-place Washington (3-under par 837) and two ahead of Notre Dame, in third place at 1-under par 839. Host Northwestern placed fourth at 5-over par 845 while Charlotte and Indiana tied for fifth place at 6-over par 846.
Senior McCoy Biagioli was the top finisher for MSU, tying for 21st place at 1-over par 211 (69-68-74).
Seniors Lorenzo Pinili (72-68-72) and Lucas Acevedo (69-71-72) tied for 30th place with scores of 2-over par 212, respectively.
Junior Julian Menser (71-72-78) and sophomore Luke Mueller (72-76-73) tied for 68th place with scores of 11-over par 221.
Playing as an individual, sophomore Connor Fox tied for 78th place at 14-over par 224 (73-76-75).
Michigan State plays next in the Fighting Irish Classic at the Warren Golf Course in South Bend, Ind. from Sunday, Oct. 4 to Monday, Oct. 5.
