Women’s Golf Completes First Day of Play at Clemson Invitational

East Lansing, Mich. – Michigan State's women's golf team shot an 8-over par 296 in the first round of play and is in 15th place among 16 teams after the first day of play at the Clemson Invitational, being played on The Reserve on Lake Keowee (Sunset, S.C.).
Freshman Sarisa Pojanalai and senior Taylor Kehoe led the Spartans, posting scores of even-par 72, respectively, and are tied for 22nd place.
Senior Shannon Kennedy shot a 2-over par 74 and is tied for 48th place while sophomore Grace Vetter and senior Paula Balanzategui are tied for 82nd place after scores of 6-over par 78.
Freshman Lucia Valderrama, playing as an individual, is in 62nd place at 3-over par 75.
The Spartans tee off on Saturday at 10 a.m. from the 10th hole, playing alongside Clemson, LSU and the College of Charleston
